Shikisai Miyako chef knives

Shikisai Miyako Damascus knives are made in the city of Seki, the most famouse home of cutting tools in Japan.  The blade, made from AUS8 and low carbon martensite steel, is 33 layers Damascus using the artisanal techniques of the famed blacksmiths of Seki to attain extraordinary sharpness.  After mirror-polishing, a matte finish is applied to achieve a soft lustre.  The handle is made of laminated wood and its finely crafted rounded shape is designed to fit snugly and confortably in your hand.
