The Hultafors fire steel is a 100mm long fire steel with a diameter of 10mm to allow for a better grip during use resulting in better efficiency when used in any weather. The sparks generated by the fire steel reach approximately 3000°C.

The fire steel is ment to be used against the spine of Hultafors Outdoor Knives (OK1 and OK4), whose holsters come with fire steel holders.
